A model minority is an ethnicity, race or religion whose members are perceived to achieve a higher degree of socioeconomic success than the population average. While this success is typically measured in income, education, and other statistics. Regardless of this model minority sadly it is the linchpin that holds American culture. It divides races and makes other races dislike one another due to the higher achievements one has. Due to this some may believe that a certain race doesn 't need assistance and are better off alone.
This form of racism always leaves a form of biases towards those who are a particular race and sometimes those who are mixed. Other times it makes it seem that their achievements are only obtained because of their race. Where whiteness is achieved due to one race always being on top and while on top they are primarily who hold America culture together. As stated by "A phenomenology of Whiteness" by Sara Ahmend that "we can usefully approach whiteness through the lens of phenomenology. Whiteness could be described as an ongoing and unfinished history, which orientates bodies in specific directions, affecting how they ‘take up’ space, and what they ‘can do’.
