In the fictional book of “Mockingjay", Katniss faces the hard situation with the districts in which they suffer of living in poor living conditions with a large lack of food and supplies for their livings meanwhile the Capitol lived in large luxuries. They force kids between 12-18 years old to participate in The Hunger Games. The citizens of the Capitol watched the games in television as they saw how they killed each other in the games. It affected the lives of the Panem citizens in many ways. “There was not enough food in the districts and people were malnourished and always hungry.”(4) They die from hunger in their homes, killed or hurted by the peacekeepers if they try to rebel against the government, also being forced to do harsh jobs or being killed in the Hunger Games by others and if they win the Hunger Games, they live in wealth but if you don’t do what the Capitol tells you to do, they kill one of your loved ones. The citizens were angry and tired of that government. They lived in fear everyday, and as well in the case of Katniss, when she was sent to the Hunger Games, she wins, but she suffers from traumas after the games. “Katniss is still just a teenage girl who has been in kill-or-be-killed situations far too often.”(5) They had to do a response against the government they lived.
