Mobile Therapist (MT) went to the client’s house where the client, his mother and sister was home as the client had a doctor appointment and was watching television with his mother and sister prior to the MT arrival. The client’s mother talked about the client’s behavior while in front of the client by stating he has been doing good as he is looking forward to an outing with another peer with his Therapeutic for Families Support (TSF) worker. The MT stated to the client that she is looking forward to his outing as well and hopes that he could display positive behavior afterwards as he had not been involved in an outing due to his inappropriate behavior. The MT asked the client why he would cheat on a test as it was an assessment of what he knows and he is not being graded on. The client stated that he does not know why he cheated, but he is sorry for what he did. The client’s father explained to the client that he is in jeopardy of losing his outing with his TSF worker for cheating on his test. The MT intervene by suggesting the client write a letter to his teacher and TSF worker stating what he did wrong and apologizing for his action. The client agreed and wrote a letter to both parties in full detail. The MT talked to the client while he was writing, explaining understanding of his action, but expressing that the client needs to think before acting as the reason for him cheating was going to do more harm than help him as he would of score high in different levels that he actually needs help. The client stated that he understood as he sometime forget how to do basic math and needs help and he did not understand the reason for him cheating, but felt he needed to do good. The client had a couple of incident in school which did not need involvement of her parents not treatment team, but is needed to address as it consist of her inability of differentiate her emotions when it comes to her feelings and thought. The client with the assistance of her mother and MT was able to explain a situation where she was upset with a peer for telling her to do something after her teacher gave the class in a whole group a direct order. The client became upset with the peer and stated the peer was mean towards her, telling her what to do and called her names that she felt were mean. The client’s mother stated that the client had another situation with another peer where she told them that there pencil fell on the floor and the student was mean toward her by stating that he knows his pencil fell, called her a name and said to her “she doesn’t have to tell him what to do”. The client stated she understood the difference of the two situations and that she knows what was wrong. But she believes the other peer that told her what to do is mean and does not like her. The client’s mother stated that she talked to the client’s teacher and stated that the other peer is quiet and has a low voice that may come across mean, but he is a new student as the client and is very helpful with others.
