Mobile phones (or at least the mobile devices we know today) are relatively new in the sense of how long they have been around. While a lot of mobile history dates back further the first real mobile phone was developed in 1908 when a US patent was issued to develop a wireless telephone in Kentucky. This would only be followed in the 1940s when engineers’ working for AT&T made them for mobile phone base stations. Mobile devices or in this case; phones, have certain classifications when it comes to describing them. Mobile devices from the era of when they were first developed are classified as 0G or Zero Generation whereas phones and such in our day of age are mostly 3G but we are slowly seeing more and more 4G phones. As with every amazing idea the need to expand further and further into it became a must and with this need came the technological advancements. In the technology world smaller is better and with that phones have gone through many changes in this department. After the turn of the century they at first began to get smaller, more portable but kept their bulky unnecessary size becoming more of an inconvenience then anything else. This was mainly caused by the fact that mobile devices did not have the all around design they have now obviously. In fact many of the mobile devices out back then when flip types and this format of device would only change much later in the years to come. Mobile devices have been made to also send and receive data at amazing rates also. Ranging from the 0G capabilities of the mobile-to-mobile walkie-talkie type devices to the 4G LTE based (LTE meaning Long Term Evolution) data-transferring systems that are currently …show more content…
These days the slimmer the device seems its to be more convenient (I personally prefer a solid phone to a skinny one) and the data transferring system will become even more fine-tuned. Data transfer will be able to be done by the terabyte, mobile devices will continue to evolve as well seeing as we currently have the slim full screen format that devices are being produced by. I see in the near future that phones becoming even thinner, maybe even in a type sheet of optical imaging producing the information necessary, maybe something like a hologram of some sorts. The phone-watch was introduce recently (by recently I’m referring to the past 10 years and in the future I see them becoming more and more pivotal in the role they play with how you use your device. They will most likely become sleeker, more professional in a sense; they may also share similar traits with their mobile parts as far as being mostly digital. With what technology is forming into this Nano strips of technology and the types of these Nano strips being used to project the types of information on your mobile device is a very real option.
