Around the word, the majority of people has a small screen which fits right in their pockets, vibrating and ringing everytime someone sends a text to them, or a message pops up on Facebook. What follows that initial message is a never-ending tapping of the screen, people faces lit up by a white glow, people ignoring the others around them, oblivious to everything going on around and eyes only focused down on that small little screen.

Supposed to provide easy access to information it has become something quite devious- a way for technology to take over people lives. It brings out so much potential for technology e.g access to Youtube, Social media sites and emailing.
Although these things can be quite advantageous, they can be quite a distraction to every day life- At work, driving, or at school. Being caught at work when your supposed to be working could have many bad consequences, including being fired.or getting a suspension. Distractions can occur everywhere and things would not get done.
Another thing that the internet is helping to support is online gaming, the amount of playstation 's, Xbox 's and pc 's that people can play. As a teenager myself I go on these consoles quite a lot, they are at times quite distracting in terms of doing my homework. In other people 's experience they can be quite distracting to other people 's social life, people can be so engrossed in the games and can spend many many hours trapped in the simulated world. There are now many careers in the gaming industry through YouTube and Twitch where people only show gameplays. It has over taken people 's roles in everyday lifes with self-driving cars which reduces the need for human interaction and human control. This raises the question whether humans will be relevant in the future. Would technology take over like they did in the Terminator movies.
How do you stop the heavy advancement of technology? You don 't. Technology has become too useful in modern life that we can 't stop it. People must remember that technology has the potential to take over people 's life. As with everything in life, too many of it is going to be bad.
