In “The Use of Mobile Devices in the College Classroom” the author Tamara Brenner expresses her views about why cell phones should not be aloud in class. It was when a colleague asked her about what she though on the matter, that she decided to examine the studies. The more she researched the more evidence she had that proved that cell phones are a distraction to students. She explains that multitasking is hard enough without distracting cell phones. We can use our cell phones to do better in class, like taking notes and using apps that the teacher suggests; however, it is far too easy to look at things that should wait for latter, like texting or checking social media.
