I flicked the gun off safety heart thumping away, adrenaline already rushing as if I had killed a record buck for Mississippi. I was remembering in the back of my mind just what my dad had always taught me since I started hunting and shooting guns all together. The gun went off BOOM! The deer literally stood…
The Deer Stand Peacefulness invades me as I walking through the woods, observing every sight, and sound. These feelings are much more enhanced and is brings a very calming sense to me. After Climbing slowly and steadily up my tree stand , I survey the large grassy field until stretches beyond my point of view. I imagine the huge buck walking about 20 yards from me, and my adrenaline was quickly rises. I think about all the target practice, and time spent practicing for this moment, I realize Success takes lots of time and patience, especially when you only get a chance to succeed once a year.…
You are in the middle of nowhere surrounded by monolithic statues with big heads staring back at you. You wonder where these mysterious monoliths came from. Nobody really knows for certain where they came from. One of South America’s greatest mysteries is the Moai on Easter Island. The fact that nobody knows for sure where they came from adds to the mystery of why they are there.…
First deer Phts? The bus stops I hurry off and sprinted to the house. I got inside and got dressed in my camo coat put my boots on and my orange snow mask, my orange vest threw the sling over my shoulder which is connected to my shotgun. “my dad laugh at me he says it too cold the deer won't move.” I said “I had a dream last night and I shot a eight point.”…
Have you ever shot a deer or have been hunting? Well I have, my first deer was a huge 9 pointer. It was the best moment of my life. Thanks to my dad, I have a great adventure to tell. Hope you have a little fawn while reading my story.…
When I went on my first deer hunt I was 10, I shot my first doe with my Savage 243. The doe was fifty yards when I looked down my scope and lined my crosshairs right on the front shoulder. When I pulled the trigger she ran twenty yards, I made a perfect shot on her. We went to pick her up to load her on the four wheeler. She was heavy, but finally got her on the ATV and drove her to the barn.…
I looked over and saw a buck standing there, eating the frozen grass. I started shaking, thinking that I might actually shoot something within the next 10 minutes. I grabbed ahold of my gun and got prepared to shoot. My dad told me to pick a spot for me to shoot when the deer walks there, so I pick a big oak tree straight in front of me. The buck started walking toward the tree I picked, so I put my eye up to the scope, and gathered myself to shoot.…
“Wake up Carson” my dad said as he shook me awake, “It is time to go Hunting.” “But it's five in the morning” I whined, but I knew if I wanted to get Mr. Crabs, the biggest deer on our property I would have to get out there. So I crawled out of bed and took a quick shower. While I was in the shower I couldn’t stop thinking about Mr.Krabs and the wonderful opportunity I could have in less than an hour on the monster buck.…
And then they started coming it was the coolest thing I had ever seen in my life. The deer were just filling the feild coming from the timber acrossed the road. Their was 20 of them then 30 then 40 it was so cool. But I had to wait because the bucks don't come until all the doe make sure it's safe. I waited for about 15 minutes just watching the doe feed.…
When I got home after shooting I ran into my house yelling that I was going hunting next weekend and I couldn't wait. When that time finally came I packed my bag with all the hunting stuff my dad and I had bought for this special day. So there we went on the drive to Madison county where my uncle lived.…
The first time I ever shot a deer came as a tremendous surprise to me. It happened about four years ago. I had hunted for a while before that, but that was the first year that I actually took it seriously and I got my gun safety license so I could shoot. It was the second weekend in rifle season, so it was empty in the woods and quiet.…
In mid October early in the morning the day was crisp and chill. The sun was just burning the morning fog off of the lakes cool waters. The dew on the grass and trees was glistening from the sunlight and the bird were singing their songs of jubilee . The entire woods were peaceful and still, and the sunrise was magnificent. During this moment I realized how beautiful nature is when the outside world is a distant memory, and all we need to do is take advantage of the little things life gives us and never stress the big ones too much.…
The minutes turned to hours as Jimin twisted his mind to reveal even the smallest details and ideas about what he could use Yoongi for. First off was his initial plan, revolving around manipulation, just as his lifestyle did as well. He could also play the game of innocence, pretending to essentially become the personal therapist of Yoongi and let him vent out all of his life's secrets after gaining the man's trust. For now though, he'd stick to winging whatever plan could develop after the odd turn of events. Sleep was minimal on the first night.…
I knew I couldn’t give up that soon so I decided to sit it out until we had to go in to get some food in our bellies. We were hearing shots around us all morning. I thought for sure we would see a deer within no time, but we still hadn’t seen a…
My First Deer One brisk 30 degree day in January, when I was nine years old, was a day for which I was extremely excited. My dad got me out of school earlier that day, so we could go deer hunting. I had already shot a turkey the year before, so guns were nothing new to me. We made a quick stop at my house so that we could pick up the .243 youth edition, a really short barreled .243, that my dad had bought just about a month before so that we could go hunting, and I would actually be able to handle the gun. At this point we did not have the hunting land that we do today, so we went to my grandpa’s house and hunted in the clearing of trees behind his house.…
