My Sister's Keeper is a book about a family in a crisis. The main character Kate, is dying of leukemia, a type of blood cancer, and needs to have kidney, blood and marrow transplants from her sister, Anna. Her mother (Sara), had Anna strictly for this purpose and forces Anna to donate these body parts to Kate. The two main things in the book that are happening are Kate and her leukemia, and Anna filing a lawsuit to try to protect the rights to her own body.
