One new thing I learned after the scavenger hunt activity was where to find the student catalog in both Moodle and Student Portal.…
Critical Reflection Journal 1 When I think of the experiences I have encountered here at Providence Place, various mental health conditions come to mind. However, from first hand experience, the most prevalent disorder I have been exposed to, in this short amount of time would be Dementia. My one resident, C.G, who specifically presented with this condition, is an 87-year-old male who was recently registered at Providence Place. It was during our first encounter, when I began to notice the symptoms of his Dementia. For instance, when we began to engage in a game of crib and it was his turn to deal, I glanced over at him…

Furthermore, she advices me that being organized in this profession is a requisite. The counseling team creates a calendar with the general overview of the year and each grade level counselor generates a monthly schedule with corresponding activities. For this poverty exercise, I utilized the Social Security Administration, USDA food and nutrition, and Access NYC websites. I learned that as a disabled person who is the head of household, and also unemployed, I would receive maximum federal payment of $733 in Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits on a monthly basis for the year of 2015. This week was off to a good start and I gained a lot of new information. I feel this week was helpful and has giving me more insight to the business world. I did not know many things in the readings so it made this week more interesting. I think the work was fair and fitting to the week and the readings. The test was okay, but I wished I had done better on it.…
During the previous clinical rotation, I have always been accustomed to working with one patient, until I was given the opportunity to work with two. The difference between working with one patient and two is time consumption. I find myself spending more time writing information on my daily care map about two of the patients. It’s time consuming because I want to be able to gather important data in order to plan my care for the patients. I learned that using an SBAR worksheet helped me write the important information about each of my patient; thus, saving me more time.…

Second week only consist of four working days, because Monday was Memorial Day. For the rest of the week the Congress is not in session. Drafting constituent’s letter, answering constituent calls, tour request of the Capitol, and flag request from veterans are responsibilities that I held accountable for this week. Second week into work is less hectic and my reaction to my work tasks was a brief moment of resting. I need some clarification and assistance in some areas, but for the most part, I got a hang of it.…
Some examples of being organized are downloading the CTU App on your phone to help remind of you of important dates for assignments, and testing. I also bought a weekly/monthly planner, this helps me organize my week. You can also use your electronic calendar, if you prefer. I wear my CTU shirt, because I am proud of being a college student. Being organized will make your life more manageable.…
