The model states that those who control the wealth, own the land and have the authority to hire and fire, are the one’s with the power. Students did not feel comfortable with the former leader of the university. The student body had tolerated too much and was no longer going to stand for the way they were being wrongly treated. The football team, Jonathan Butler and the students who are involved with the “Concerned Student 1950” group all felt that Tim Wolfe was not helping the university put an end to the chaos on campus. Wolfe did not show the student body that he cares about who they are and the opinions they have voiced. The students want to be led by someone who genuinely cares about their wants and needs. I believe that this movement has been successful, but has a long road ahead. The reason these students performed the actions they did was to get president Wolfe to resign- and he did. So their immediate goal was reached. However, I do not believe that this resignation of one single individual will stop all racism on campus. Through the continued efforts of the demonstrated protests, and a student-body who wants to work together to implement and execute a change, I believe the racism on the Mizzou campus will one day
