I am a first-generation Latina student at The Ohio State University. Being from inner city Toledo, Ohio, I attended a public district where 80% of students received free or reduced lunch and the graduation rate was at an all time low of 49%. My parents had not graduated high school, therefore once college applications became relevant, they unfortunately could not help me. Through 25 different scholarships, I was able to attend OSU without any loans and truly believed I was on the right track to achieving the "American Dream". To my dismay, once classes began, I was lost.…
Part One : Academic Program One major that I’m interested in at DePaul is psychology. And I would like to help adolescents and youth with both similar and different mental psychological disorders . My main goal with this career is to create a connection with my patients, so I can treat them a better way then someone who can’t connect. People who have similar background are more likely to be better treated.…
Many things that have happened in my life have led me to Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU). The path for me to get to OBU was all part of God’s plan for my life. It all started at around the time I turned five and fell in love with sports. Ever since then my life has been centered around sports, whether it be baseball, basketball, football, or golf. If it involved competition then I was going to participate.…

To apply core concepts learned from Ryerson and retrofit them into practical applications that will result in positive or potentially negative results that will shape me into a collective marketer. Therefore, this will help me shape my skills and sharpen my interpersonal communication skills. I have a passion for team atmosphere and like to excel together to achieve a shared goal. Overall, I feel that I would be a great addition to the RMA because of my unusual, out-of-the-box thinking that would give a fresh perspective on traditional approaches.…
Emory University Given your knowledge of Emory University, describe what unique resources, experiences, or opportunities you hope to take advantage of as a student here. (250-650 words) Emory University attracts me most for its abundant researching opportunities provided for the undergraduate students because research is central for in-depth learning of every discipline. There is survey showing that over half of the undergraduates have the opportunity to work with faculty on research program. Regarding to the math-related research program, the undergraduate study offers students opportunities to work in small groups with faculty members. This indicates the students could develop foundational skills which are beneficiary for future study.…
True and significant life is found in Jesus Christ and because of my firm conviction of this it has been my primary objective to point people to Jesus. Being persuaded that Christ wants Christians and especially those who take leadership roles to minister to the needs of others, I have ordered my life to conform to that conviction. Ultimately, Jesus desires that each Christian serves him by serving others; this is accomplished in a variety of ways – feeding those who are hungry, teaching everyone the life saving Gospel, and by leading in a way that reflects the glory of Christ. It has been my immense pleasure to have had the opportunity to preach God’s Word to thousands of people over the past fifteen years. It is my sincere passion to see people embrace Christ Jesus as their Lord and savior and to be transformed by the renewing of their minds through the Word of God.…
I will add a very versatile vibe unto the campus of Rice University in all entireties. If I were judged based upon physical appearances alone, in which quite often I am, I'd be a stereotype, but as one engages in the most simplistic form of conversation with me, my level of intelligence speaks for itself. I am a very positive spirit, never in a bad mood, and welcoming of all walks of life. I am the student, who attempts to break the ice, and relates to everyone on a universal topic, so that we can all agree upon a common discussion to start great friendships. My energetic personality is only a façade to conceal all of the trials and tribulations I have endured.…
When I was in kindergarten, my teacher asked each of my classmates including me who they wanted to become when they grew up. The majority of the girls in my class responded with a cheerleader, a ballerina, or a princess. On the other hand, the boys responded with a football player, superman, or a firefighter. When I responded, it was entirely unexpected. Can you conclude who I desired to become?…

So, I wanted to attend the University and that's what I did and now I'm here and it's completely different from what I imagined it to be. I thought everything was going to be smoove but boy was I wrong. I was so hurt that it wasn't how I imagined and wish someone would have told me these things.…
The term could not be the more opportune to be involved in the Monash University community through its guidance than this first-year when we all want to establish contacts that can provide committed relationships. By hearing and talking among like-minded we grab solving our problems at which those enjoyable experiences become the great resource from large opportunities and activities that will enable us to develop positive direction to our academic and professional future. In a training program as a volunteer, within a non-profit organization at which develops social programs in some developing countries in Africa, Asia, and Central America, a literature project for children living in orphanages was possible to be developed as part of…
