This study was conducted to investigate content and the use of qualitative and quantitative research in a combined manner in MFT empirical literature. The content analysis was conducted using a triangulation method. The literature search was conducted on eight popular and respected journals of the MFT field during the last 10 years. This study was conducted to research the clinical profiles and post deployment functioning of male Operation Iraqi freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF) veterans who experienced and reported MST. The sample used for this study was self-report measure of veterans who completed at least one tour of active duty in Iraq or Afghanistan and were seen at a large VA Medical Center between May 2004 and March 2008. The other measure to assess for inclusion in the sample was The Deployment Risk and Resilience Inventory (DRRI).
