Misunderstood Water Changes

Improved Essays
Small-scaled positive changes a person makes daily in their life today can eventually lead to a long-term healthy lifestyle. The human body is composed of about 60% water, however, many people do not drink enough water daily; myself included. The average person drinks about 3.9 cups a day. That’s about 32 ounces or 5 cups short of the daily-recommended amount for women and 9 cups short of the daily-recommended amount for men. Your entire being depends on water to function, thrive, and survive. Personally, I drink one bottle of water, maybe two on a good day, a total of about 32 ounces. I usually exercise, however; I never bring water with me. Bringing a water bottle filled with at least two cups of water and drinking that by the time I am done with my workout will also help add more water to my daily water intake. In order to work my muscles out to their best ability water is also needed. Every week I workout I am slowly going to increase the amount of water I bring in. The first week will be two cups of water; the second week will be 3 and a half cups and the third week I will be bringing 4 and a half cups of water to drink during my workouts. If a daily workout is being pursued and completed and my recommended amount of water is being consumed at meals I will then be drinking anywhere from 5-7 cups a day (men are drinking 7-9 cups a day). Another way to add extra water to my diet is to kick start my metabolism! When I first wake up I will drink at least at two to three cups of water before I start my day, which will not only help wake me up but will also help my metabolism flowing. Carrying out this system by the end of this 21-day plan I should be drinking anywhere from 7-9 cups of water a day, the daily recommended amount
