There are many different definitions for nutrition. Some say that it involves exercise others say it's only what a person eats. What everyone can agree on is that it definitely involves food and the nutritional properties of said food. Determining a safe and healthy amount of carbohydrates for you to consume each day is a baseline for a comprehensive meal plan. When it comes proper nutrition it includes carbohydrates unlike what other people might say. Dietary treatment must address these other concerns as well. Blood sugar levels rise because muscle, fat, and liver cells become resistant to insulin (the hormone that causes blood sugar to enter into body cells) and ignore insulin's signals. It's this insulin resistance that's at the heart of other problems too (Weisenberger). Even if people think that they are careful about what someone eats they still have to watch what they eat when it comes to being a diabetic.
There is one problem with just watching what is eaten. That problem is that even with only nutrition is that it alone cannot solve the problem. Nutrition is not only food, but also a small amount of exercise to help work off all the harmful carbs or calories. The body can not just stay healthy with just eating right.
