Sometimes I like to think that I am perfect. But in reality, I must remember that I'm not. There are many times in my life that I have been faced with situations where I thought I was doing what was right, but in reality I was wrong. I try my hardest to learn from these mistakes. “Experience is simply the name we give our mistakes.” (Oscar Wilde) Mistakes can be an amazing tool if we learn from them. If not, then they truly are mistakes.

There was a situation this past year in marching band where my pride was hurt. As drum major of the marching band, I was in charge of the band students when my teacher was not around.
