Decent Essays
Misspelled words for me is a challenge every time that I write some paper for school, I think is because my primarily language is not English and I'm always thinking my words in Spanish. What I been trying to do to always is get someone to read my papers to see if I have any awkward sentence or misspelling words. Most of the time my husband since he was a tutor and he is really good at catching my mistakes does this for me, I also take my papers to the writing center. One of the words that I always find myself misspelling is "our", "their", I Think most of my misspelling are more likely because I do not write much, I know that the more that I write the more I get use to and I will feel comfortable. I believe that is all relate to ow much time

It is a shame that people today do not give the same careful attention to their written communications. Writing properly has become a lost art.…

I have never been a good writer or speller. I constantly spell the same words wrong over and over again and get the same critique marks on my paper. Unfortunately, I can never seem to fix the problem. I was always a little behind in elementary school, spelling words wrong and making grammar mistakes, but it was never too noticeable until fourth grade because for the most part. I think this is due partly to the argument Thomas Newkirk’s makes when he says, children still link pictures and words together in adolescence, it just starts to become more focused on writing starting in the second grade.…

I am not perfect and my writing is no different. In my 1102 course I learned that I am not the best judge of my writing. When reading my essays in my head I know what I mean to say therefore, I skim over typos and grammatical errors. In addition to grammatical errors, I struggle with developing a thesis.
