How would you react if you did not have a passport the week before you were supposed to leave for a mission trip? I experienced many different emotions in this time. I learned that getting your passport is a much longer process than I imagined. I learned that procrastination is something to be avoided. I learned how much I meant to my family and the Lord in this time of stress and happiness. I learned how the Lord can make things that seem impossible, possible. It was a Sunday afternoon and I was out to lunch with my family at McAllister’s. My family and I had just began attending the church, Brookville Road Community Church, and I had just started getting involved with the youth group at the church. Every year the youth group does an out of the country mission trip and since I had just started at the youth group I did not mention anything about the trip to my parents. My parents come into the room and tell me that my dad had received a bonus that week and that they were going to use the money to pay for the trip. That night I pack up for the trip and I go over to my friends house to spend the night with all of the other guys going on the trip. The next morning at around three in the morning I am in the car on my way to the airport to go on my first mission trip of many. Through this week of many ups and downs I finally realized just how faithful our God is. I realized how much my parents truly cared for me. I saw God make something that seemed impossible, possible.
