Behind the west wing rooms is the Mission Industrial Center. In this area, there was the outdoor kitchen they used back then, tallow vats that were used for soap and candle making, and hide tanning area, which was used for the process of getting the animals skins to produce leather. The courtyard and its surrounding rooms was were everyday life happened. It was where the women and girls prepared the food and washed clothes, where children played, where meetings were held, and where any types of festivals or celebrations were held
