Strategic Management is used within a business to achieve their goals and objectives. A business must set in place a plan which involves setting objectives and goals that will help them to be successful. Thorough analyzation of the businesses environment it is in and the internal organization of a business can help to achieve a good strategic plan for the business to promote itself in the business world. Mission Statements along with Vision Statements and the Company’s values is a good way to introduce the type of business it is and what they are all about when pertaining to customers, employees, shareholders and the environment. These statements provide and insight to what the company has to offer and what their vision for the future is. …show more content…
It also states what the company is offering to their shareholders both present and future when pertaining to profit and productivity. This statement is very conscious of the planet and our environment, by showing genuine care and concern by promising to help and build sustainable communities as well as support them. Their goals are realistic and directed towards the future but I don’t find the vision statement to be very attractive. There is nothing in this statement that would turn a person’s head, however, if they were to explain how they plan on being responsible to the planet or maximize long-term returns in just a few words then it may be a more captivating vision statement. According to the United States War College – National Defense University in regards to values and ethics, the organizational vision should be consistent with their core values for the values of an organization portray how an organization ethically behaves. When referring to diversity in the values statement of the Coca Cola Company, they make a comparison between their brands and the diversity of culture and ethics but it does not state what they value as a company and having courage to shape the future does not show commitment to leadership. The overall statement does not portray strong values that a company should have if it plans on being successful. There is no relation between Coca Cola’s vision statement and values statement. When reviewing the mission, vision and values statement of the Coca Cola Company I don’t find that it holds a lot of value nor does it explain clearly what their mission and vison is. They could come up with a better overall strategic plan to promote their company and their products so that they remain successful and can ensure maximum
