The penalty for being a prostitute in Nevada within a county which does not legalises prostitution is not so severe in comparison to what a pimp can be charged for. The prostitute and customer can both be sentenced up to 6 months and may have to pay an additional fee, and the same goes for the brothel owners. However, the penalty for a pimp can be a sentence for 1-4 years and an additional fee of 5000 dollars. The crime of being a pimp in a county which did not legalised prostitution, is a felony class D, where a prostitute, customer and brothel owner will only be evaluated as a misdemeanour crime.
