Misdemeanor Apology Letter

Decent Essays
I'm writing to notify you of a waived traffic misdemeanor I have previously committed in December of 2015. I apologize for not disclosing such information on my primary application. I mistakenly believed that waived misdemeanors were not required to be reported. With the guidance of my pre-health advisor, however, I now know the importance of addressing such matter.

As I was driving near my home at the end of a rainy day, due to my nearsightedness, I accidentally drove over the center line and into the wrong way. Consequently, I was stopped by a police officer who asked for my driver's license, which I did not have with me that day. Foolishly thinking, I believed that going to a nearby gas station without a driver's license was not going to

During my juvenile years, I was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol, which occurred during my junior year in high school in 2008. I plead no contest to this misdemeanor and I was subsequently enrolled into the DUI Diversion Program. For 12 months, which included a significant majority of my freshmen year at Loyola Marymount University: I completed monthly drug tests, a traffic instructional course, community service hours, and attended monthly meetings with a juvenile counselor and group. After completion of the program, my records were sealed, I was adjudicated, and I was not convicted of the misdemeanor offense; this is why I marked "No" on the AMCAS application. Since then, my record has been spotless and this instance…

Offenders will continue their manipulation through abject apology, and victims will do exactly what they are conditioned to do, by appearing to accept that apology. Victims will feel safe enough to even ask questions, much less articulate their pain; after all, telling their abuser how he has inflicted pain in the past is tantamount to detailing how pain can be inflicted in the future. In those kinds of cases, a great deal of individual work must take place with each of the parties so that each can learn how to move confidently within relationships based on openness, courage, generosity, listening and trust rather than the anger, fear, subterfuge, jealousy, manipulation and violence they have known.…

I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to review my letter of appeal. The sole purpose of this letter is to highlight the reasons behind my poor average this past academic year and the steps I am taking to make sure my average will be well above 60. Towards the end of October my grandmother was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and became seriously ill as her body could not handle the chemotherapy. Over the next few months it worsened and she eventually passed away in February. Not being able to be there for my family during this unfortunate time period and imagining what both my parents, who work full time were going through made me even more stressed and depressed.…

In the United States, All federal pardon petitions are addressed to the President, who grants or denies the request. Typically, applications for pardons are referred for review and non-binding recommendation by the Office of the Pardon Attorney, an official of the United States Department of Justice. The President may still receive pardons personally, and may grant them at any time. The President need not provide a reason for a pardon, and the courts and the Congress have no legal authority to approve, disapprove, reject, or accept a pardon. In India, President exercises this power as he exercises any other power as per Article 74(1), on the advice of the concerned Minister, i.e., the Home Minister.…

A good criminal defense attorney will do whatever it takes to minimize the damage from this incident. For example, if your attorney finds that you did in fact violate the law by driving without being licensed by the state of California or another state, he or she will push to have the charges reduced to an infraction, rather than a misdemeanor. Alternatively, they may push back the date of your time in court as far as possible in order to give you ample opportunity to become a licensed driver. Many judges, upon seeing that the accused has acquired a driver’s license since being charged with driving without one, will drop the matter altogether. Cross & Associates is the premiere criminal defense attorney in Northern California, and knows exactly how to fight for our clients.…
