Psychology focuses on the nature and behavior of human and also studies complicated mind processes. There is a common perception that psychology is mostly used in order to study mental diseases and disorders related to the brain, but this perception is not completely true, as psychology also appears in our normal routine life. The five senses are being used all the time by the people, which are also a part of psychology. For example, I feel irritated by the sweet smells, so I pass by the perfume shop which has the same sweet smell perfume, I will be very sensitive about it. Similarly, if a person has used the same sweet smell perfume, I would prefer not to stand close to him. The things which were previously learned or the information that you got in the past, can be identified. It basically involves identifying the items which were learned in the past (Myers & DeWall, N.D).
The third measure is the relearning process. Relearning refers to the concept that when you learn something for the second or third time, it becomes easy to remember. If a thing has been read or heard multiple times, it becomes even easier to store that information in the brain (Myers & DeWall, N.D).
Memory has a major role in our everyday life, which, if we notice, matters a lot. The fact is that I still remember the things that happened when I was just five or six. This is usually referred as the childhood memory, but, in actuality, its real name I episodic memory which is the record saved in the mind as a result of the personal experience. Also, it is a common scenario which I come across more often which is that when learn something at school, it stays in my unconscious and even if I don’t remember it perfectly, I still remember a little about it.
