Reflecting on an experience with Bryan, my previous supervisor, failed to possess the essential principles that are imperative to be an advantageous and effective leader. There are various circumstances that attributed to his leadership inadequacy. Yet, his utmost failure was his power, or lack thereof. This analysis report will explain how my manager’s inability to effectively utilize the power associated with his position directly impacted me during his tenure as my supervisor, as a Team Lead for Background Investigations. Throughout this analysis, I will provide a non-bias illustration of the effects of the direct leadership failures that were observed and effectively analyze the exploitation of power and influence.
