In the play that never happened but instead of that part they had a part where James asks Kate, Helen’s mom, and Mr.Keller's wife, to be his friend and which Kate replies word for words “I am.” Another difference between the play and move is the ending. In the play, they end the play with Annie and Helen walking into a house with Aunt Ev holding the door open for them about they both spell “I love Helen/Teacher” to each other and before that were Helen figures out things have a name.
