Minors Should Be Trialed As Adults

A teen walks in a jewelry store, he's carrying a gun. He looks outside the window, then turns back and says, "Give me all the jewelry and the money, NOW!" The jeweler refuses to give him what he wants so then the boy aims for the man and pulls the trigger. After the tragedy, the police takes him. Many teens commit terrible crimes and they should pay the real cost. Minors should be trialed as adults because they know from the right and wrong and they should face the real consequences that fall behind their actions. Young criminals who deeply violate the law should definitely be treated as an adult. Take this example, Cameron Williams, a 16-year old teenager, will spend the rest of his life in prison due to the fact that he killed a police officer in Nebraska. Williams was taken to court where they came to a conclusion in which he'll be in prison for the rest of his life. Juvenile courts have decided that any minor who is charged with rape, murder, violation, and has a criminal history will be charged as an adult. However, if the young criminal is not charged with any of the circumstances above, he or she will not be sent to prison (Khan). Juveniles should be treated as adults. That person just went into a family and ruined their life, their plans, and their happiness, so there should not be any doubts that this person shouldn't be in jail. If each and every one of us experienced this, we would all want it to be this way. It is important that we all recognize a crime is a crime and offenders have to put part of it. The worse the crime the worse the punishment, especially when you are mature enough to understand it. If the offender doesn’t pay for the suffering they caused, it is NOT justice
