15 Minimum Wage Research Paper

The battle to get $15 minimum wage is growing faster and stronger all over America. There many debates over how $15 minimum wage is going to affect the economy, as well as how it already has in some areas that have $15 minimum wage. Many rallies have appeared all over the cities of America to fight for $15 minimum wage, many of those people are low paid workers such as fast food workers, dishwashers and many others. But not everyone is supporting this idea such as companies for clear reasons. Many places aren’t prepared for $15 minimum wage and are better off without it.

People have various opinions about $15 minimum wage and how it has helped for the better. There has been talk that workers should also get a 1 hour paid leave for every 40 hours as initiative supporters contend that “a healthy and better paid workforce will benefit the state’s economy” (Cornfield). When minimum wage increases some owners will increase their prices (McArdle). Some business owners will raise prices instead of firing people to keep their profit gains. Overall nothing will be changed if minimum wage increases and prices go up as well. Some people with certain jobs will be replaced by tech (McArdle). Instead of raising the wage of people whose jobs might be a cash register they will be fired and replaced by a machine. By replacing some people with technology it will save the business owners money.Some people “who have been in the business for a while will conclude that with reduced profits, it 's no longer worth putting their hours into the business” (McArdle). Some veterans will realize the profits won 't be enough to satisfy them so they will shut down. Once the veterans shut down more people will be
