By giving equal opportunities to people with such low background experiences, and raising the minimum wage for them to be able to make more money than just over eleven dollars an hour then it would possibly decrease a significant amount of drug dealers that are on the streets trying to make a living for themselves, rather than living off of pay-cheque to pay-cheque. Although most drug dealers are doing what they are doing because of the fact that they have not been exposed to real work, and have no background experiences from working there could still be a portion of people out there who are affiliated with those stuff because of such minimal pay. As a result of raising the minimum wage it may not completely clean up the streets, however, it may possibly help out. So in order for employers to make more money, they are willing to pay their employees that first start off as low as minimum wage. Employers are willing to let go employees who do not like the wage they make because employers know that there are thousands of people who are willing to take over the job just to generate some income. As a result of this, employers take advantage of people who are willing to work at such low wages, therefore it’s for their own benefit to keep the wages low. However, if the employees were making more money, than minimum wage then they’d be more happier.
