Do you think minimum wage should go up or should it stay the same? Everyone has mixed feelings about this topic and if it minimum wage should go up or not. In this essay I will be talking about the pros and the cons of minimum wage as a hole. To me it depends on the situation for the pay of minimum wage, if it should go up or not. There are some real world examples and stories that help determine the pay of minimum wage. Some examples of why minimum wage should not go up is because people will quit their jobs as a doctor and a nurse just to work for a high minimum wage also the cost of living will go up. For example, people that go to college and work and earn more than minimum wage are better off in the long run than people that only work minimum wage. People like minimum paying jobs because they are more legible to get a small paying job and to them it will be more convenient to get a job with just a high school diploma as well as a GED. "What matters for people earning minimum wage is how much money they take home in total in their paycheck," says Rajeev Dhawan. Another example would be that people will slow down when they are doing their job because will not take is seriously because of where they work. Another reason it is terrible to raise the minimum wage is because the cost of living will go up because of the amount of money people will make. Consider if everyone that was making minimum wage will agree to raise it, but they don't realize that it is not a good thing in the long run. Everyone is having a huge discussion of minimum wage the president and everyone that is in that field and they are discussing the pros and the cons of minimum wage. Another con would be that everyone will have almost the same amount pay as each other, the reason that would be a con is because people will not have to go college and work harder to get a job that will pay as much as a fast food
