As many of you may be aware, last weekend there was a huge fire at a local church in Jay Mountain. What you may not be aware of, however, is that this story involved a couple of delinquents who risked their lives to save children in this burning Church. As children were playing in the church it mysteriously caught on fire. Though the authorities do not know exactly what happened that could have started the fire, it is believed that the fire may have been due to a lit cigarette that burned down the whole Church. Mount St. Helens, located in Skamania County Washington State, had an eruption which caused the death of fifty-seven people on May 18, 1980. A cloud full of ash rose into the sky, turned everything dark, and made any given time of day appear as black as midnight across many of the north-western states. It was recommended that people not leave their homes and they were told to wear gauze masks to keep the ash from entering their lungs. The eruption also caused about one thousand miles of roads to close (including state highways), trains to be stopped, and it forced aircraft to land. In 1911, the Triangle Waist Company building caught fire and several of workers in the building didn’t make it out alive. Yellowstone volcano has many plants and animals living around it. Yellowstone has many different kinds of wildlife habitats.
