Well-defined behaviour settings are areas limited to one activity, but not completely cornered off from rest of the activity spaces. The Kountze High School permitting students to display blatantly religious banners which other students are then made to run through represents a violation of not only a violation of the establishment clause, but is a situation which is easily rectified without the threat of violating the students’ right to free speech. Where the precedents have been set for determining that the state has violated the establishment clause through Lemon v. Kurtzman, 403 U.S. 602 (1971) and Santa Fe Independent School District v. Doe, 530 U.S. 290 (2000), and precedents set through Hazelwood v. Kuhlmeier, 484 U.S. 260 (1988) and Bethel School District v. Fraser, 478 U.S. 675 (1986) indicate that the Kountze High School is capable of avoiding the establishment…

The first observation I did was at the Esmelda daycare, this daycare is a family daycare there the woman and husband showed me what they did every day they said that the toddler had hours for everything like what time they eat, how much time they had to play. Esmelda daycare promote language through play time she has book that help the toddlers learn the different animal or the ABC the woman would read the book to toddler by pointing to animal or letter and saying what it was she would also promote language by playing with the toys like counting how many Lego blocks there is or by saying the color of the toy right now. Esmelda daycare is not fully completed with all the material the toddlers need they are in process, but still not being a fully completed daycare you can see that the women and the husband take really good care of children when I was there as she was taking to me if the children need something she would stop and put attention to what the children need instead of just keep taking to me and ignored the child. Compare to the second observation did where each children age group has his own in Esmelda daycare see has all the children together he also has the toy room apart where they just go play when is play time and can’t go in until is play time again.…

My Thoughts of The Rise of Micro-schools Micro-schools are becoming more popular among parents who are looking for a more specialized education for their children, but do not want to spend the money required to attend a private school. In Micheal B. Horn’s article, The Rise of AltSchool and Other Micro-schools, Horn talks about the main ideas of micro-school’s advantages such as its affordable personalized instruction that is based upon each individual student. Another main point of the article that is stressed are the lesser hours spent listening to a lecture in a classroom and more hours spent exploring their own personal likes and dislikes. Micro-school’s tend to only meet academically a few days a week which leaves more time for the…
The first years of a child’s life are fundamentally important since they learn more quickly than at any other time in life. The experiences children have during this time stimulate the brain. So, these first years are the foundation that frames children’s growth, development and learning. All children have the right to an education and to an environment in which they are able to reach their full potential in life. Children at the age of five or six attend kindergarten, the first class that starts off the educational path in life.…

I asked questions concerning the reasons they decided to place their children in a preschool program and what they expected of it. I also asked what type of activities they used to increase or promote their children’s ability to read and write. Both parents indicated that they wanted their children to be better-prepared for kindergarten. They believed that preschool would help with giving their children the proper tools to succeed. Both parents also reported that they expected to work close with the teachers and be able to assist their child’s learning.…
Spending two and half hours in each classroom, I learned a great deal about early childhood education from ages birth through eight, and the effort and skills that it takes to create a stimulating learning environment. For my infant, toddler, and preschool observations, I spent my hours at the CCC Childcare Center located in our college while for my kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade observations, I spent my time at Casey Park Elementary School. During my observations at the CCC Childcare Center, I learned plenty about the methods and practices that go into early education before primary grades. The preschool classroom really stood out to me because the centers in the classroom were very open ended and filled with lots of manipulative for…
Each teacher has his or her own method of teaching. No one teacher teaches the same way as another. These methods are manifested in a teacher’s education philosophy, or “the principles that guide professional action. ”(Parkay, 2015, p.114) A teacher creates his or her philosophy by examining his/her beliefs in a variety of categories, like what a teacher’s role should be, what a student’s role should be, and what should be taught.…
