The first promotion group that should receive attention from marketing is children age 4-12. They should be considered a major target group for a couple reasons. In the city of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Waukesha County, and Washington County the population of those under the age of 18 consistently sits just below 25%. Therefore, the demographic presents a large amount of population in general. Secondly, children under 12 will likely always be accompanied by an adult. Consequently, any promotions made toward children will automatically assume a greater amount of people due to the parents or guardians that will be accompanying the children. Third, children are energetic and optimistic of sports. Regardless of hockey or basketball, children often develop a loyalty to sports …show more content…
They are key players in both short term and long term success for a couple reasons. While it is always thought that college students have no money that is only partially true. While they may have little to no income, much of the income they do have is expendable. While they may have to choose between going to a bar and going to the buck’s game, both those choices are not necessary for survival. Therefore, they are considered an approach-approach conflict. Students do indeed have a limited amount of money, but if they can choose to either go to the bar or go to the Buck’s game, neither are bad choices but one needs to be made due to limitations in time and money. In contrast, someone out of college may have student loans, car payments, and higher rent that may not be a negotiable choice. For them if money is limited, they will likely choose their original obligations over a basketball game. Secondly, college students will soon be in the working world with higher incomes. It is best to get them hooked on the Buck’s now, so in future years and possibly with future spouses and families they stay
