Mineral Face Primer

This is a foundation that's not new to buy, but it was new to me. I've been wanting to buy if for awhile and every time I remember to pick it up, they would be out of my shade, so where I finally remembered and saw my shade I picked it up. I had heard good and bad things about this foundation, so I couldn't wait to try it and see what it was like on my skin.

To start off, it might be important to know that I have a light to medium skin tone, with neutral undertones, my skin is very oily in my T-zone and normal everywhere else. So with that being said, remember that every skin will react differently to different foundations.

Most drugstore foundations don't have a wide range to pick from, but the L'Oreal True Match has 33 different shades,

The first time I used it, I used E.L.F. Mineral Face Primer as my base. While applying the foundation with a damp beauty blender from Ulta (I don't like brushes as they tend to leave brush strokes on my face and don't pick up excess foundation) I found that it's really easy to blend, it's true to color, and it's buildable (light to medium coverage). I like a more full coverage, so I was a tad disappointed, it wasn't anything that concealer couldn't fix, but I also liked that you could get a light coverage on days you might want a lighter look. It also set to a natural finish, so you aren't walking around looking like you have piled on …show more content…
After I finished my makeup, including powder and a setting spray (7:30 am) I looked fine. No oil, no pores, not patchy. I loved it. I checked my makeup for the first time after finishing it right before I went into work (9:00 am). OMGosh, I looked like someone poured baby oil all in my T-zone. It was horrible. I thought I might have to touch it up through out the day, but I didn't think it would be that soon. I mean an hour an a half, really? So I blotted, powdered and went in to work. I then checked my face at 11:30 am and i was oily again, but this time you could see ever pore in my T-zone. I looked awful and it wasn't even noon. I continued to check my face every few hours (6 times total) and found it always looked the same, oily, pores galore, and starting to go patchy. I couldn't wait to get home and wash my face. The outer portion of my face looked fine and did well for the most part of the day, I only had to touch it up 2

Jergens Natural Glow Instant Sun As someone who has always felt the need to be tanned (because it makes me feel better about myself) I've tried a lot of different methods... 1. Natural sun: baby oil, olive oil, no oil then shower then put oil on to lock the sun in, beer, reflective sheet, laying by water, floating in water, some SPF, no SPF, etc 2. Tanning beds: cheap tanning lotions, expensive lotions, no lotion, those that tingle, those that don't, mixing up to 7 different lotions because they all had X number of bronzers in them (the more the better right?) 3.…

I followed this ritual like it was a family secret, a trick that kept my great-grandmother young and beautiful. Night after night I would commit myself to a makeup free face in the morning, just to prove that I could. And each morning I would wake up too tired-looking to remember that promise. I watched my friends grow comfortable in their skin; I wondered what it would be like to start the day off without a fresh coat of mascara and concealer clogged pores. This summer, when I first walked into my job makeup-free, I feared someone would notice my drastic change in appearance.…

My high school was split into two campuses – years 7 to 9 and one and years 10 to 12 at the other. The first campus, 7 to 9, was a lot harsher about the uniform policy, skirt 10 cm above the knee, tie and top button done up, the usual stuff, and of course for the girls in particular, no makeup. This coursed some rebellious young women, like myself, to get into trouble quite a few times for breaking this useless rule.…
