Narrative is verbal or nonverbal interpretation used in storytelling to construct the “story of our lives”. For example, one narrative I have constructed is transferring schools and how that has affected my college experience. I think narratives are important because it tells the story of our values, our beliefs and truly showcases our identity. Without narratives, we would not be able to fully understand and empathize with another person because we wouldn’t know their story or their experiences.

In interdependent systems every pat of the system impacts the other and is impacted by the other parts of the system. In communication we send and receive messages, however if a message is not heard or misunderstood there may be conflict that can affect the relationship between the sender and the receiver. Therefore, communication is interdependent.
Human relations movement views employees less as individual, replaceable machine parts and more as sources of group information and skill that can be developed through training and education by the organization. For example, last summer I interned at a charter school and the organization had professional development programs for the interns. This included workshops on finding jobs, resume/cover letter review and the chance to network with different professional in other departments. This HRM is important to me because I want to hopefully have a career in an organization that values me as a person and allows for development/growth in field verses a cog in the machine that generates revenue
Semantic noise refers to the differences people have for meanings of words. For example, the word bow has three difference meaning. It could be something you wear in your hair, a bow and arrow or to bend your head in reverence to something/someone. Semantic noise is important because it affects how we communicate with each other. Every one has a different perspective so it is important that we are clear in meaning as to not cause ambiguity which can lead to
