Milton Slander: A Short Story

It was a crisp summer evening in the little town of Daleville Indiana on Sunday November 8th 1999. Milton Slander was sitting on his porch in his rocking chair waiting for his wife to get done cooking dinner. The birds were chirping, dogs were barking and the crazy kids were drag racing up and down the highway. The time was about 7:30 when Milton's wife Stacy came out and told him it was time to come inside and eat. The slanders have two kids, Blade and Emma. They are having fresh cut juicy steak, mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. After they all get done eating they all sat around the tv and watched Sunday night football.
While they were watching football Breaking News came across the screen. The news was about a massive gorilla in South Africa going crazy and killing tribes along the Dellshon Mountain range. Nobody has gotten a clear look at this …show more content…
But then he would think about the face of leaving his family and possibly not coming back. That's what was stopping him the most. Milton started asking some of his co-workers if they thought it was a good idea, most of them said “go for it, but i'm not coming with you”. Some said “no man save yourself and don't worry about that”. Throughout the day Milton and Jeff continued to talk about some things they will need to kill this beast.
They will need a huge tranquilizer gun type thing to bring the gorilla down, so they can insert a liquid that will kill the gorilla. If that doesn't work, then they will need some TNT to blow the beast up. They thought that would work the most. They would also need a crew, but nobody else is crazy enough to go with them, so they thought they would just have to go alone. They will need tents and lots of camping supplies to survive in the mountains to even have a chance to find it and kill it. This was just some of the things that they will need on the
