Miller, Nigg, and Miller (2009) case study is descriptive analysis of issues throughout the African American community as it relates to ADHD within the past ten years. These authors use both qualitative as well as quantitative research to conclude their findings. Topics in which they go through would include symptoms and prevalence, family and genetics, parent perception etc.
Since the authors covered so much, one of the overall findings would be ADHD and its severity in the African American community. ADHD impaired both girls and boys equally thus having no gender specific preference. Also, African Americans are diagnosed less but have more severe cases of the disorder and when compared to Whites they would have a higher comorbidity rate
