Millennials By Ellen Byron Analysis

As a millennial myself I felt as if this article was sometimes true, but for the most part not factual nor accurate. In fact the author Ellen Byron comes off as biased too often. Stated in paragraph it says that millennials grew up playing Xbox, playing soccer, and having dance recitals.It followed with a sentence saying we as millennials did not spend much time helping mom or dad in the yard. This is where I disagree. Growing up in our generation helping mom or dad in the yard would be considered as a chore. In fact, chores were something that were enforced, and had to be done in order to get the fun things like the Xbox, playing soccer, or going to dance recitals. Although I do agree with the Z generation, that some of the hard task they have faced has helped shaped their life experiences and millennials miss out on this opportunity. Stated in the article it says that 86 percent of millennial home buyers reported making at least one improvement to their home in the past year, more than any generation. I can definitely relate to this statement, and believe it is 100 percent factual. In fact I must confess, as a generation impressing others, and staying up to date is very important for most millennials. Those millennials who separates themselves, and do not care about impressing others are those millennials who give up the good for the great and become multi-millionaires. Making an improvement to your home could be money invested, and possibly doubled or tripled, sadly this is where the Z generation is ahead, most millennials don't understand this concept.
