If you have anything that stands out you need to cover it with the darkest color in the area without making it the wrong color. You need to cover the lighter areas of your skin or your equipment. If you can match the vegetation with the resources you have then you will be able to camouflage your whole body. If you can master this military grade tenique then you can go very far.
The reason people use camouflage is to hide anyhing you want from a item to a body. You use this skill to hunt or if someone was hunting you. In war the army has camouflage as a special skill or like a trick up their sleeves. You never know when or where you will use this until it happens. In conclusion, there are many aspects of camouflage and it is a very tedious task to master this skill. For one you have to be extremely patient so you can apply the pigments to your body correctly. Second you need to be persistant with your work because if you slack off with half of the camouflage it won't work as well as it can be. Third you need to be observant to your surroundings because you can mess up the coloration on your camouflage and it won't work.
