How do you think you would react if you had to be someone else for the majority of your life? Early in her life starring as Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus was always under someone else’s pressure. From performing and always having to be someone she isn’t, Miley Cyrus has finally set herself free after her breakup with former costar Liam Hemsworth. The on and off again couple has been together since 2012, but when the couple finally said their goodbyes, Miley had a different outlook on the whole situation. After the many months of coping, partying, and finally being who she wants to be, she realized and wants to do something else with her life ; Something more “good”. As well as Rihanna, Miley’s twerking has become quite famous with all age groups. British singer, Leona Lewis, became another celebrity against Miley Cyrus as well as Rihanna for making explicit twerking popular with children.(Fekadu) Leona Lewis further stated on Miley and Rihanna twerking: “You can’t blame those girls, who are being young and sometimes dumb. They’re expressing themselves how they want.” (International Business Times) Miley isn’t the only one out there doing drugs, singing vulgar music, and going crazy and partying. These things are all around us, and she isn’t to blame for all of it. “I was watching the show Breaking Bad the other day and they were cooking meth. I could cook meth because of that show. Yet, they bleep out the work F--k.” stated Cyrus on the drug issue she had at this year’s VMA’s.(International Business Times) Although she arrived with a lit joint and passed it around to photographers (Hall) and at the VMA’s she was for the most part nearly naked, then took it a step farther and flashed her nipple during a costume change. She then apologized, asking “What’s happening? Oh, Sorry!” (Hall) All of these things did happen , but Cyrus talks about her VMA performance that happened an earlier year and asks about why no one is talking about Robin Thicke gyrating against her.
