Miley was referred to our office today by her manager. The manager expressed concern by things that had happened the previous weekend during Miley’s show. He was concerned because Miley had gotten into a very dangerous position and could have been seriously injured or even died. When I asked him what he was talking about, he replied that she had done the wrecking ball in performance and that he didn’t consider that to be in the best interests for not only her but for the fans in the crowd. When he asked Miley about this behavior and why she did it, her response was “To make things more interesting. The reason I gave her that diagnoses was because of her impulsive spending and tweeting, her drug use and tattoo getting of random things, the self-harming she is doing on her arms, her unstableness, and swift mood swings from being happy to sad to angry to fighting within a short span of time. Her lack of impulse control and boundaries, the pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships; not only with her fiancé, who is now out of the picture, but with others in her family; and she has little contact with her parents and her siblings. Miley is also trying frantically to avoid real abandonment issues with the hoarding of her animals, live and ones that have passed. She also showed the compulsive tweeting and spending, extreme displays of irritability, argumentative behavior, and hoarding of animals. I believe that the treatment plan will benefit her and help her understand that her self-harming, compulsive behavior, drug use, and increased sexual activities are not helping her but harming her instead. To be someone she wants to express to the world, she can express it in a healthier way and do so
