Milestones For Research Paper

I've achieved three big milestones that my parents' never achieved. My big milestones are graduating from high school with my high school diploma, applying to colleges and getting accepted, and actually attending college to finish pursuing my education. Instead of calling these big milestones, my milestones, I call them our milestones. I would never have achieved these milestones, without them especially my mom. All my life, my mom told me she graduated from high school, but when I was the in the twelfth grade, she told me that she dropped out in the eleventh grade. I remember the conversation as it was yesterday. My mom and I were in the car going to the mall to get the rest of the things I need for prom.
“I wish I would have went to prom.

I didn’t get the chance to attend my graduation, but I was nonetheless overjoyed about this accomplishment. My graduation from college was a major success to me because both my parents did not get the chance to finish high school and I wanted to make them proud. I wanted them to see that I would not get distracted, I wanted them to see that regardless of our financial situation, I am able to remain focus and follow through with my promise to them, which was to graduate college. This accomplishment was important to me because I was the first in my family to attend and graduate college.…

In the book Letters to My Daughters poet Maya Angelou wrote, “I am a spring leaf trembling in anticipation of full growth” (163). The anticipation Ms. Angelou speaks of is an accurate description of how I feel about becoming a thirty-six year old college freshman. In addition to anticipation; anxiety, self-doubt, and dogged determination are on the list of emotions I am experiencing. In January of 2015, I applied to South Plains College, bringing me one step closer to becoming a Physician’s Assistant.…

He ran back to the house with his knee cut to the bone.…

Category #1, graduate high school: The objective is fairly simple, pass all classes and then a high schooler receives his or her diploma. The way that society works within high schools is much different than the objective. The specific process that administrators require students to do in high school are much more than of what many high schoolers can handle. Administrators require unnecessary information for students to learn which causes stress, headaches, and sleepless nights. The side effects of all of the unnecessary knowledge results in health complications.…

Middle School Mid-Life Crisis Middle school, a time of cringe worthy moments and regret. I like to refer to this story as my “Middle School Mid-Life Crisis”, since I questioned the purpose of going to school almost every day, and never felt motivated to do anything. Dreading almost every day of school, not having stable mental, emotional, or physical health, and feeling dissatisfied with myself as a student. My mind set was always on countdown mode, “I just have to make it through this class period. I only have 20 more problems to do.”…
