I really enjoyed this week’s assignments. Specifying goals and objectives have always been something I have enjoyed, since being introduced in a research course at the undergraduate level. I also enjoyed creating the line graph and utilizing subscripts and superscripts. Chapters 3 and 4 have been my favorite chapters thus far. Learning new things can be fun!…

Here, I have collected the works, which, I believe, I did badly and which I used as starting points in improvement of these skills. I think, I didn't succeed in my Week 3 Reflections because of lack of proper analysis. However, I have improved after it and started to write Week Reflections with more thoughts and details, as you can see form my later works. In Essay#3 Draft#1 I again did the similar mistake I have used too much sources of which I did too few analysis. I changed it by focusing only on Games of Thrones in the later drafts and by writing more on every draft.…

Short Term 12 was a very interesting movie. It had hints of being realistic, but with aspects where you knew it was a movie. It’s about a group of workers who work in a foster care residential facility setting. The main character, Grace, deals with her own personal struggles while she supervises the children at the facility. I have a short bit of experience at a facility like Short Term 12 in some aspects; I can see where parts of the movie are realistic and where are some are an exaggeration because it is a movie.…

In the Spring of 2016 when I took WRTG 101, I terrified of failing. Before taking WRTG 101, I would always struggle with writing. This class has taught me many important and essential techniques to be successful in my writing career. Considering that Spanish is my first language, reading and writing are a weakness of mine. Before taking SGST 200 class, I had a very narrow view of sexualities and gender’s problems, but I was fine with that for such a long time. Even when I decide to take this class, I wasn’t expecting to change or have a whole new view of problems like racism, sexism, and homophobia. In SGST200, I learned that there is nothing wrong with being different from others, we should be proud of ourselves and be respectful to others. We can’t change the biological diversity; everyone is different since they are born and they have rights to choose what they want to be.…

Anna-Lise, Paven, Rebecca, Christina, and Colton - I appreciate your thoughtful post addressing the key points of the intersectionality paradigm and the long responses that followed. I see the incredible value of this paradigm that addresses the relationships of health disparities in the scope of the dominant culture, wherever the dominant culture is, speaking globally. I especially appreciated the point made by Pavan regarding the role of the NP which I would like to expand to the role of the DNP. Pavan states, “as NPs we consider the influence of the patient’s social determinants of health, environment, biophysical, and psychological factors as equal counterparts to maintaining health and well-being. Further she mentioned Van Herk, Smith,…

The concepts delivered throughout the management problem-solving course have provided me with valuable simulated real-life experiences which can be applied in my everyday work life as a HR Administrator with aspirations of progressing my career. The course delivery was such that as a student, I was able to use my existing knowledge and skills, in addition to that of my peers, to analyse and explore complex organisational problems. This course has challenged the way I think and deepened my understanding of the problem-solving process, which has enabled me to perceive issues from new perspectives, I once would not have considered. Additionally, it has also allowed me to make explicit and authentic connections between the course content and my…
