Mildred (Milly) Montag

Mildred Montag was the wife of Guy Montag. We meet her in the beginning of the book when she tries to overdose on sleeping pills. Luckily Montag finds her and calls for help. When she wakes up she doesn’t remember anything or taking any pills. She just goes back to her normal routine like nothing happened. From the beginning you can already tell that they don’t have the best marriage. She ignores Montag most of the time and she can’t even remember where they first met. You can usually find her talking to her “family” in the Wall-TV. She will sit for hours and hours just talking to imaginary people on a TV screen. She is so reliant on technology that even when she sleeps she has a “little seashell” in her ear

Although she may be married I would have done the same thing.…
