Mike Wazowski Potential Analysis

Potential As a child, you were once told that you could do anything in the world and that you could be anything you want. Looking at this picture of a cup of french fries along with the title “Potential” and its quote which explains to us not everybody can be an astronaut in this world just attempts to convince otherwise. I believe this picture fits very well with its title because it shows that maybe you can’t always live up to what people, or more importantly, what you expect yourself to be. The definition of potential is having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future. The picture itself is just a plain picture of french fries. This picture is a lot like the movie Monsters University. In this movie, Mike Wazowski, one of the main protagonists, wanted to scare for a living whenever he got older but he was always told that he wasn’t a scary enough monster in order to do so. He studied the art of scaring ever since he was a kid and finally got to work on his obsession whenever he was accepted into the scaring program at Monsters University. He forms a team with a not-so-popular fraternity and they join the annual Scare Games. The Scare Games is an event where monsters are pitted against each other to compete in challenges ranging from running through tunnels filled with poisonous sea urchin like objects to a giant scaring simulator where the monsters scare a fake child in order to get the highest score. One of Mike’s teammates rigs the simulator so the fake kid can scare easily which allows Mike to not embarrass himself in front of the whole school. More events unfold, but in the end, Mike then realizes that maybe he isn’t cut out to scare for a living and sets his eye on another career
