I have learned that the structure of all three these photographer’s websites are more important then the actual designs, this is not to say that they don’t put effort into their work. There portfolios make each artist work unique to fit their own, they each have a large selection of images with a good balance which shows that they are not amateur photographers. They all seem to commit to high quality and quantity work, and it seem to be a collection of their best. There creations reflects that they are in control and it seem to reflect in their story lines, portfolios are a combination of their work and reflects their security. Less is more, paging through someones work has to be an enjoyable experience which should leave you …show more content…
I find his work interesting, and especially with the theme of abstract patterns, these interesting natural designs makes up a good story line and I think his creativity adds a good concept to the theme.

His work as seen on the internet I believe might be a bit busy, observing his work I believe he should have added less smaller designs next to each other and one rather larger images one by one on a page this would make the work more attractive and easier to observe the interesting the detail.

The context is about abstract lines and the images present it very well. It is hard to tell if there is an order but there is a definite narrative that is the flowing of different shapes and lines, I find that this makes his work consistent.

Neil Leifer:
Neil Leifer well known sports photographer, he work is well categorised and once you enter a category you find well displayed images in fullscreen, they are easy to flip through, with a shorts description to inform you of the event, his carefully selected work leaves a strong statement. Neil’s work forms a sequence that is consistent, the subjects that he chooses are clearly well investigated and the images connects immediately with the viewer. His 50 year portfolio collection is well set together and presented, it is something that you could easily look at over and over

I believe that he embodies something different then all of the other artists I have studied thus far. As I was searching through the various pictures on the internet of his sculptures, I was truly stunned at how life-like they look. With each sculpture I looked at I took on a different set of emotion every time. When looking at the dead body one I instantly felt sad, disturbed, and a little dark and twisted. When I looked at “Ghost” I felt her pain and insecurity as it is written all over her face.…

Jessica Martinkosky V100 Weyers Cave, VA 24486 Dear Ms. Martinkosky, I am writing to introduce you to the work of Marilyn Levine. She is a ceramics artist that specializes in making clay appear as leather. Unfortunately she is deceased however; she has dedicated her career to making hyper realistic renderings of leather objects that are entirely made from clay. Although many artists refine, vary or shift styles throughout their careers, Levine stuck to the realistic sculpture she devised 35 years ago as a graduate student at UC Berkeley. A viewer of one of her shows described her as the following "In a lesser artist, this apparent lack of development would be interpreted as a severe limitation.…

The Boger Gallery and Williams Memorial Chapel are displaying the unique work of Stephen Watson, an artist whose medium is ground spices. Watson’s spice art installments are made by sprinkling powdered spices and herbs onto pieces of precut plexiglass that are laid on the floor. Custom designed stencils are used to layer the spices and create intricate patterns and designs. Watson said he has been working with spices exclusively for almost two years and there was a journey that brought him to using such an unusual medium. “I was making a body of work for a church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.…

On October 28, 2015 I attended the William Marcellous Lindgren Asian Art Collection Reception in the Miller Center occurring from 4-5 PM. This event displayed St. Cloud State’s large collection of Asian art such as paintings, sculptures, stone carvings, metalwork, decorative arts, and ceramics. All of these art pieces are from nine different countries, spanning many centuries. I learned that William Lindgren was a former professor here at St. Cloud State University, and he donated his collection of Asian art to SCSU upon his death. He collected all of this artwork from when he lived, worked, and traveled throughout Asia in the 1950s and 1960s for his work, resulting in an incredibly diverse collection.…

My photographer is Josef Sudek, his approach to his style is more of nature and black and white, I was looking at a lot of his pictures and they mainly all look the same. He mostly shoots outdoors but, if she shoots indoors he makes sure its in a window, or in a couple there were rays of sunlight coming into the picture kind of having the same feelings as the others. It looks like he likes to use a lot of different types of light for his photography. Josef Sudek's technique seems to be very simple, he has a basic subject or a very broad subject or main idea of the picture, all of his pictures are different but seem very alike to one another. In a lot of his photos he just had a subject in the picture or nature or outdoors in the background…

Conclusion Natura naturata versus natura naturans: Different ways of pursuing naturalism in the north and the south Throughout the paper, the question of how and to what extent early Netherlandish painting influenced Leonardo’s paintings of the High Renaissance has been discussed. By showing how Early Netherlandish artists may have influenced their Italian successors, we could set the foundation through comparison. Then, by discussing the characteristic of chiaroscuro in each period, we could see the direction of development in this technique in portraiture. Finally, by analyzing Leonardo da Vinci’s advanced skill, we could appreciate its delicacy and the harmony of symbolism and chiaroscuro.…

The word ‘Reflection’ can mean many things, among these are sending back i.e. the return of light, heat, sound or energy from a surface; a sign or result of something; and serious or careful thought. I have explored many of these different meanings in my visual diary. The Greek philosopher Plato saw all of life as a reflection - we are all in a cave with our back to the fire and the life we live is actually just a shadow of reality dancing on the walls. (https://www.collegeofidaho.edu/academics/general-information/c-i-honor-code/philosophy-code) I loved seeing reflective surfaces - windows, metal, puddles, lakes, water.…
