This week’s journal requirement asks that we find and analyze an article that relates to a dysfunctional team and explain how it applies to our leadership journey. I read an article titled: Calais Migrant Camp Clearance Begins as French Police Move into The ‘Jungle. ' In short, the article was about how migrants were to be dispersed into shelters around France as they had to leave the UK, where they were seeking economic opportunity (Bisserbe and Flynn).
There is a migrant camp that people call “The Jungle” which local police and aid workers tried clearing out. This camp has become a symbol of Europe’s failure to manage the flow of Migrants across its borders, due to poor planning and direction. Their inability to migrate was influenced by the country’s vote to leave the European Union. I will be a mentor in the future, and that comes with being a good leader. Trustworthiness is the noblest and powerful of all the attributes of leadership. Leaders become trustworthy by building a track record of honesty, fairness, and integrity (Hamm, 7). When I lead my team, they will need to know the vision and plans for the company. We have to collaborate and support one another in our success for the business. They need to know how to lead our mentees as well through the Word of God; they cannot do that unless the communication is open. That relates to me because leading my brothers and sisters to the Truth is my dream. Every day may not be hunky-dory, but at the end of the day my team and I have to know that all we have is each other and we are responsible for whom we are leading, everything has to be on
