Mig Welding Career

Becoming a welder wasn’t exactly in my career path as a young child I actually never made up my mind of exactly what I would like to do. During my kid stage I was never stable I lived in Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and a cycle between these 3 states and I focused on my grades and education rather than my future, which now I would be learning was a bad choice. In high school I knew these 4 years would be the last chance of choosing my career wisely and after watching my uncle and father do something they enjoyed I set it a goal to accomplish what they did. Welding is the fusion or combination of metals using heat and with that we are able to make pipes, make pieces come back together or even your own thing. To start you will need all your safety equipment from safety goggles, mask, gloves, and pants and a long shirt as recommended, you will also need to be able to withstand heat and stand for long periods of time the metal can get up to 10,000 degrees and shape or bend into what into whatever you want it to. I’ve practiced on mig welding using virtual reality and mig welding would be using gas to weld materials together, but there are many other types of welding from Mig, tig, arc and some more each requires a ability of steady hands and very little moving. Some welding is even done underwater and can be used to weld parts of ships or pipelines. Practicing would be very important just like in anything you do in welding you will have to gradually build up to move onto other types of welding and have a positive mindset on exactly what your doing and being able to show that to others. Having a great mindset can help you start with welding as long as your determined and comfortable it may flow into your process. The pay in welding is also another good thing the average pay is 17$ a hour but can also very from experience and location you can then make up to 20-30 an hour depending on

Welding jobs that are in the field and require travel tend to make more than jobs that take place in factory or local settings. Field jobs may require that the worker must complete his or her tasks in extreme weather, including rain, hail, snow, and extreme temperatures. Jobs that take place in factory settings make less starting wages but allow the worker to advance to higher positions and make more money. Factory workers can advance to a foreman or manager which usually offers better benefits and easier work. Factory jobs are also preferred for the convenience, less overtime is required and the worker is closer to home.…
