Midwifery is a subject which gives you a purpose. It is a career path that gives a holistic understanding of human life. Being able to see how the midwives took care of my mother and it became clear the midwives gave the overall care which was amazing to see. I also started to see how every birth was completely different to the next which was very captivating. As soon as I observed this I knew this was the career I wanted to go into. These three subjects gave me the different skills such as precision skills, speed, and adapting those skills to make an impact when making successful decisions which would develop me for my career. I developed my skills when I undertook a civil engineering foundation two year degree which was giving me an insight of how different it was compared to A levels. I became more aware and independent as a person. Civil engineering was a course which improved my accuracy skills in getting the correct measurement and this helped with my eye for detail. After being able to witness my mother's pregnancy, I decided to undergo a science foundation year in order to get an understanding behind the human biology. This was a great way for me to become up to date and aware of the theories behind science which would give me a boost and easier understanding when getting into the field of
