As a freshman in college I thought I would be struggling miserably, surprisingly I am doing much better than I expected in my English 1303 course. In my premortem I had written that I would be procrastinating, the only problem is that instead of finishing my assignment in five minutes, I finish it an hour before class starts. However, this is because I have encountered issued I was unaware of; such as, family problems, distractions, and lack of time management skills. Personally, I only have the power to control one out of these three factors, which is time management, and I am proud to say that I am currently in the process of successfully working on that. My biggest triumph this semester is being exceptionally organized and managing a properly sleep schedule.
I know that the HBU academic policy is made to help students succeed in a righteous way, I also understand that cheating is prohibited because it contradicts the purpose of learning and understanding any subject. I believe I am showing commitment to these policies by not cheating and working on my own because I understand the consequences of doing so. I guess you can say I have a soft spot for the little elementary kids because I know the struggle they may have had to face. PALs is a program that allows mentors to advising both disabled students and younger kids, they basically focus on helping the future become a brighter place. This program is too good to be missed out on, and I feel every student in need of this program should be given the opportunity to be a part of it. This program also allows the disabled and the younger students to learn about they're hidden
