During the performance of the play Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, the main theme that I observed while watching the drama was that Puck who is a fairy, and he is naughty character. He had the ability to create conflicts in the production. The control of magic was powerful throughout the play because it was a key element of the symbolizing love, and tragedy. Puck uses a potion to hypnotize the lovers because he wanted to stop them from fighting, and the effect of the potion was it had created a love triangle between the lovers. For instance, this quote expresses (3.2, 110-11) “Caption of our fairy band, Helena is hear at hand, and the youth, mistook by me, pleading for a lovers free.” Shall we their fond pageant see? When Helena says, O spite! O hell! I see you all are bent to set against me for you are in merriment (3.2 145-146). This quote explains how aggressive and mad Helena when she believes that she is getting mocked by Lysander. In the second part of the play that we saw Helena and Hermia got in to an argument, and both of them chased each other in the theater which made it more interesting because the audience saw that Helena felt betrayed, and unloved The king, and the queen of fairy who are Oberon, and Tatiana have the strong relationship which was carried throughout the play into the story. Even though marriages are supposed to last long, and couples are not suppose have foolish argument’s. But there are some moments in the play where the king, and the queen have an argument in the beginning of the drama. In lines (3.2- 100-101) “Flower of this purple dye, hit with cupid’s archery, sink in apple of his eye”. When Oberon puts potion to in Titans eyes hypnotize hoping that she will have affection with anything that she sees when she wakes up, and his aim is that he she will give up the Indian boy. Before he was hypnotized Demetrious did not love her but he had respect for Helena, and after they were influenced under the magic they both. (3.2, 300-301) “I pray you though you mock me gentleman let her not hurt me I was never crust.” He was never bitter but the potion had a negative impact on him. When the girls were under the magic they both started to have an unpleasant dispute over the guys. But Hermia attitude changes toward Helena she says “good Hermia, do not be so bitter with me. I did ever more love you, Hermia.”(3.2, 305-306) Basically she is saying that even though they had a fight they still loved, and respected each
