If CCMS received one million dollars this is what I would improve the cafeteria, update the 7th and 8th grade wing, and sports. I would improve the cafeteria that way it could hold more people that way we don't have to have 1st and 2nd lunches. I would also improve the 7th and 8th grade wing because it's not really the best. First, I would improve the cafeteria. We need a bigger place to eat because everyone is all bunched up and it's way to crowded plus I think this might help other people that are claustrophobic. I would improve on the food that they fix. Because first if all there pizza is way to greasy and I don't like eating the same old same old because it gets old and boring pretty fast. The last thing I would improve in the cafeteria is the seats. I would improve the seats because there hard and not really soft at all and it hurts your butt. I think that they need to order seat cushions for the cafeteria and for the classrooms. Because if you do then your butt won't hurt when you get up. Besides if u do get seat cushions it will be alot more comfortable. …show more content…
The first thing I would improve in the 7th and 8th grade wing is the lockers. The reason why I would improve the lockers is because some people have a bigger bookbag than other people. So I think that we need to make the lockers bigger. That way people don't have to go home one the first day of school and tell their parents that there bookbag don't even fit in it. I also think that we need a bigger locker because some people have more things than others. Epically if they're going home with someone I mean how are you going to fit your other bag in your locker without forcing it to

When it comes to improvements, I like to divide initiatives into generalized and localized categories, depending on who is impacted and the amount effort required to carry out these advances. My role in Senate has really helped me differentiate the different issues facing LeTourneau and how these problems not only affect the student body, but also the administration. For Thomas Hall First Floor, in particular, floor culture is in need of some serious work. The common area that splits the floor in half has effectively isolated each wing.…

To start off, the major physical feature of the school is not very good because it is overcrowded. Two years ago the county redistricted, and now there are about three times as many kids here as there were in sixth grade. So now, when you are in the hallways, you are shoulder to shoulder with the person standing next to you. The cafeteria is really loud and you are sitting shoulder to shoulder with the kid sitting…

Whilst observing at Agnew Middle School, I noticed some ways that Mrs.Lane motivated her students. It was almost guaranteed that there would be a test every week, and if not a test there would be an assignment added on Think Through Math. She would assign work on Think Through Math weekly, because if a student failed the Math STAAR (a Texas state standardized test required by the Texas public schools) in seventh grade and did work on Think Through Math weekly leading up to the eighth grade STAAR a higher percentage passed. Neighboring on the tests and homework assigned, Mrs.Lane also motivated her students by giving them opportunities to do test corrections and putting the limit of wrong answers on Think Through Math to seven. She made the…

Another problem is that the kids don't like the food in the cafeteria and they don't want to bring their own,so on the way to school they stop and junk food teachers donated time, food and money to get more food and better food for the school. Another problem that ties into the first one is that their are not many snacks and so, the staff donated in first $600 and now is $1000 for the store that they put in the school for the students and maybe them. That are all the problems that I got from that…

A major concern I would tackle instantly would be human rights. Which is why i choose to give 600,000 dollars to human rights. By human rights I mean child labor, and women's rights, as well as the right of everyone else in the terms of freedom, and happiness. After all the Declaration of Independence says that we have unalienable rights that can not be taken away, these rights are the pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. “ little change to relax; the air at times is dense with coal-dust, which penetrates so far into the passage of the lungs that… he leaves, still coughing up black coal dust” (Document B).…

Middle Grades are probably the most difficult grades to get through for everyone. During this time of physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and moral development for these students learning about the history of Georgia is literally the last thing they think about, if they even really think about it at all. These students are some of the most difficult students to keep their attention focused on the subject matter at hand, unless of course we are discussing them, then and only then will the teacher get their full attention. During the observation assignment I noticed a few of the developmental theories that correlated with the five developmental stages of middle school students: Bronfenbrenner, Erikson, and Hall.…

The teachers I observed at the lower grade levels of first and second grade used Core Curriculum. These teachers followed specific guidelines in their teacher’s guide books to help them schedule activities and lessons for the week. They are provided with work books and materials but get to decide on how to execute those plans. The teacher who taught the upper grade levels of high school had their whole year planned out. I observed Math and Social Science.…

My TE-100 class went to Barr Middle School in Grand Island, Nebraska and Northeast Elementary in Kearney, Nebraska. Due to a conflict I was unable to attend the Barr Middle School visit and went to Walnut Middle School in Grand Island, Nebraska instead. At Walnut Middle School, I observed Mrs. Coble, the seventh grad math teacher. At Northeast, I observed Mrs. Tobey, a fourth grade teacher. After observing both schools I came to the conclusion that the two schools are very different from one another.…

Introduction: During my time at James A. Whitaker Elementary School in Buena Park Unified School District, I was able to observe Mrs. Solomon’s fourth grade class. Mrs. Solomon makes sure that her class is a very welcoming place. She does so by standing at the door in the morning and personally greeting each and every one of her students. Once each of the students have entered the class, Mrs. Solomon opens the class session by enthusiastically saying, “Welcome back!”…

SEP #4 In my observation of a Kindergarten class, there were many different teaching methods used. The teacher used many visual aids, and example would be when she asked the students to draw a pig. She displayed a pig on the board that was drawn by a guest speaker, and the students were asked to replicate the drawing. The teacher I observed also used games to enhance the student’s learning.…
